As well as stitching , I have been gathering stash . I've bought a few "lots" of threads that people have been getting rid of , so last week I decided to sort them out . I also bought a few mixed bags from a charity shop in Skegness whilst on holiday . A lot were unbranded or had the bands missing. Those were sent to a friend for her school group to use when making their Christmas Cards. (Oh -oh , I said the C word) .
Anyway , after winding over 500 bobbins , I then had to re-organise all my thread boxes .
The end result.
DMC boxes

Now I just need to get the rest of my stash sorted.
Fun times ahead ,lol.
Thanks for reading ,
Cath

Catching up on your posts ...
Gotta love the east coast, so many happy memories of holidays there.
Your HAED is looking lovely.
Beautiful quilt squares you've been creating.
Thread heaven ... its always lovely to see threads neatly tucked into their boxes awaiting the next project.
It sounds as if, like me, you find winding bobbins and sorting boxes very therapeutic. Your thread stash looks wonderfully neat and tidy. Now to mess up the tidiness by actually using some!!!! :)
Good for you! Great finds on stash always makes my day!
Wow. That is a lot of bobbin winding.

That's a lot of thread stash!
Lucky girl! I wish I would find such a stash.

This is the way I have my threads too...I have two sets of DMC Threads Boxes now and I still have a whole bag of Floss to wrap around the plastic bobbins which I haven't done yet. Maybe this winter I can get to it. Your are such a good organizer....I love your system. I find it that it is so much easier this way to keep track of all of your threads.
