EXTREME !!!

Now we all know that British weather is not always the best , and can be somewhat unpredictable at times . That said , you can usually take a good guess that come a Bank Holiday weekend , there will be some rain . Today was pretty typical at the start . We had lots of episodes like this :

But , in between , it brightened up and we also had some sun peeking through the grey clouds . At around 1.15pm, it started to thunder , and kept it up for over 2 1/2 hours. At 3.45 , I happened to look up and out of the window , to be faced with this .
I swear , for a moment , I honestly thought we had a tornado coming towards us , it was scary .
The lady sitting in the parked car was telling us that all along the main road off the end of our street , people were parking up to watch and take pictures , it looked totally unreal . The people under that rain cloud would be soaked through in a second .
We are still having torrential rain , with rivers running down the road , but this really was a sight to behold.

Don't forget , there is still time to enter my giveaway, see previous post .

Thanks for dropping by ,
 Cath

Hi Cath: the weather has been pretty dreadful down here in Devon too. Torrential rain and hail - we have had the fire lit since lunchtime and cosied up to watch DVD's - quite ridiculous cos all we wanted to do was to go for a long walk and enjoy - haha, no such luck. Hopefully tomorrow will be better??!!

Much the same here yesterday, although today I've been experiencing a strange golden ball in the sky!
