Problems,Prizes and Primates.

Well , this post would have and should have been done last night , but I was tearing my hair out instead. I want to be able to do all my posting from my laptop , but needed to have the program for my camera put on it. Couldn't find the disc so downloaded the updated version from the company's' website. What a mistake! An absolute pain in the wotsits . It took me over two hours to save the pictures from my camera , when it should only take around two minutes or less. Needless to say , by the time I'd done that , I was in no fit state to write anything lol.
Anyway , a while a go I had a competition ,and eventually sorted out sending the prizes lol. Kids and other things conspired against me .
I know that three of the four have arrived safely a few days ago , so I'm assuming the fourth has arrived too , and I'm going to show pics .

I do have individual pics , but due to the problems with the camera program , half of my photos still haven't down loaded . Grrrr .

Anyway, yesterday we went to Monkey Forest again , and had a great time . The weather was a tad too hot at points , but we enjoyed it .

I won't put loads of pics on ,as I posted lots last year when we went. We went a bit earlier in the year this time , so the babies that were around were smaller , and some were being waited on being born .

The one at the bottom left has been named Snow White by some of the staff as she is a lot lighter in colour than the others. She was my Daughters' favourite last year , so it was good that we got to see her again.

Thanks for dropping by ,

Cath

Giveaways , RAKs and prizes

No new stitchy updates at the moment , I've been busy reading and refereeing . Thankfully , calm will resume now the kids are back at school and nursery ,lol . So , Edgar is having a giveaway to celebrate three years of blogging and 700 posts. Angela is having a giveaway for her 2nd Blogging anniversary , and Patty is having a giveaway for her birthday celebration . so , if you like prizes , go and have a look. I've seen this on a few blogs ,and think it's a fab idea , so I'm going to copy it lol. You know how it is , you want to stitch something and it would be a perfect gift for someone, you'd like to surprise them , but you don't have their address , so you have to ask and spoil the surprise. Well ,a few bloggers are sending a message out , that if you want to be in with a chance of receiving a gift from them, let them have your details , and then you may get a surprise one day. So , if anyone would be interested in getting a RAK from me , maybe , one day , please let me have your details (inc Blog so I can check out your likes and dislikes). On to the prizes ,the winners of my competition , please don't think I've forgotten you , I haven't , but the last couple of weeks have been rather mad with the school holidays. Thanks. Cath

Winners and an award.

Hi everyone. Well , no-one has taken me up on the Pay it Forward , so I will instead make up three items and offer them as giveaways over the next year.
On to the competition . I asked if anyone could guess which of the fifteen wacky animals I had designed to complete a set for a quilt , and the design was :

The butterfly . So , well done to Lonneke , Josie , Julie (Sew Wilde) and Blu . If you could contact me with your details please ladies , so I can send your little prize to you . Thanks , and thank you to all that entered.

The charts are freebies , and are designed by Barbara Ana. They are available to down load from http://www.cyberstitchers.com/ if you fancy stitching them yourself . And , if anyone wants the butterfly chart , just let me know.

And , I have been given a second award.

A big Thank you to Michelle http://heartinstitches.blogspot.com , I love it . Thank you.

The rules : 1) Put the logo on to your blog or within your post.

2) Pass on the award to 12 bloggers

3) List the nominees in your post

4) Let them know they've received this award by commenting on their blog.

5) Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award.

I'm trying to be fair , so I'm going to nominate different blogs to last time. which makes it nice for me as there are so many blogs I love to read, I get to let more join in.

Wackimals

Hi everyone , my Stitch and Pass it on ornaments have still not been shown on that blog , so I can't show on here yet , but I can show what else I've been up to.
I've been working on a set of squares for Stitch for Charity , but wanted to show them all together. As they have now been finished , and posted off to Jane, the big reveal :From the top . L-R Sheep , pig , mouse ,monkey , ladybug , frog .From top , L-R crab , cow , bee , rabbit , cat , rhino .Lion, dog and butterfly. sorry if this seems obvious ,but my husband thought a couple of them didn't really look like what they were meant to be .
I'm not going to tell you where I got the charts from just yet , as I want to have a little competition. there were only 14 charts in the set , and as we need 15 for a blanket , I had to make one up myself.

So , if anyone can guess which is the chart I made up , before 20th March , I'll send you a little stitchy gift. Incidentally , that is also the last sign up for my PIF if anyone wishes to join in .

I also did a few of the logos

as we try to put one of these on every blanket , they are always needed. and I sent this to Jane too

I stitched it years ago , and it's just been sitting in a bag so I thought it was about time it was put to good use.

So ,now I've finished my lot of squares, it's time for a new start, the big question is What ?

At the moment I'm stitching and stuffing teddies , so will get those done first.

Thanks for dropping by ,

Cath
