Smalls

Hi everyone .
Well , I have been in a bit of a stitching slump the last couple of weeks, think it's due to having the kids at home for the holidays , my routine was all out and I didn't have as much time to myself.
I managed a small cover kit for SFC, which was part of a send along , but even that took lots longer than it would normally.

Not a great pic , but the best I could get at the time ,and it's now been posted off to the next person in line.

So ,I thought I'd show the ornaments I made for Stitch and Pass it on . They haven't been shown on there yet , but they were received the beginning of last month , so I kind of feel I've waited long enough .

This is the chart we were to stitch from . As I was the first person ,the pressure was on , so I thought it would be nice to stitch both designs. I didn't have the recommended threads , so used DMC , making my own conversions up by eye , looking at the cover picture. The snowman doesn't show up quite as well as it could , as my fabric was a bit lighter then the called for , but I still think it looks nice. One of them was meant to have little dangly bits on the branches , but I wasn't too keen on it so left them off.The little cardinal button on the snowman is as charted , thankfully , I bought him separately. They were lovely to stitch , but it took me a while to get the sewing machine out to be able to finish. Overall , I'm quite happy with how they turned out. The person receiving them said she liked them , so let's hope so.

I have some other non stitchy pics to show , but I'll leave those for another day.

Thanks for dropping by,

Cath

Hi Cath
As much as it's lovely to have the kiddies home for a while, life does seem to get turned upside down however organised you are so the peace and quiet again this week is a welcome return. Love the Christmas ornaments both stitched and finished beautifully ~ I'm sure the lucky person who received them was well pleased xxx

I have a difficult time fitting stitching in when my daily routine is disrupted, too, Cath...

I love the little girl holding her bear and the Christmas ornaments, especially the little stocking--you did a wonderful job on all!

Two gorgeous ornies Cath and a cute little AOY. Hope your stitching mojo is returning.

Sorry if you have emailed me in the last few days and wondered why I am not answering but I can't get any incoming or outgoing emails. Hubby is trying to get it fixed but so far no luck. Will let you know if I have to get a new one. Hugs.
