Stitchy bloggers love to share.
I find it very heart warming that so many stitchy bloggers are so willing and happy to share with others .
I understand that some don't , and some can't , but those that do and can make the blogging and stitching world such a nice place . Often , it is just a chance comment that sets the ball rolling .
Recently Melissa asked a question on her blog about what everyones' favourite colour of silk was . I replied that I have so far never stitched with silk , and Melissa very kindly sent me some to try .
Look at the lovely colours . I still haven't decided what I'm going to stitch , but I need to use at least one of them soon.
The other week , I sent a chart to Julie as I thought it might be useful for her show stitching . It was a free chart that came with a magazine , and not something I would have stitched , so no big deal. Julie then sent me some threads as a thank you . How nice is that .
I just love being part of such a caring and sharing community .
And , I finally have a bit of stitching to share.
This is a charity square I have been working on for a couple of weeks . Not much stitching time and even though it isn't massive , it has seemed to be a bit of a slog . I am pleased with how it has turned out though.
The chart was a freebie I found on line . It didn't say who the designer is , but the initials cgb are on the chart .
I had to change it though , as I couldn't tell the symbols apart and I also added the bottom heart as I wanted seven for my rainbow .
Thanks for dropping by ,
Cath

Stitchers are indeed a nice bunch & your thread gifts are so thoughtful : ) I think you made a nice addition to the heart chart : )
Isn't that wonderful!? I've stitched with silk once and it was a real treat. I know you'll enjoy.
Aren't stitching friends some of the best! The generosity between people that have never met, but share a common love, never ceases to amaze me!
Sweet charts and lovely stitching.
Hugs x
Stitching bloggers ARE the best, including you!
The blogging community is so giving and wonderful! So sweet of Melissa to send you some silks to try out. You will be instantly sold on stitching with them. Your hearts are so pretty!!
Stitchers are a nice group of people! I really love the hearts you are stitching!!
I agree, stitchers are very nice people. I love your hearts!! So pretty. Hope you like stitching with silks. I have tried it a few times. The only ones in a shop close to me are the Needlepoint Silks Inc. They come in such lovely colors.
I am stitching with that brand of silk right now. I really like it. I too have found some wonderful new friends with warm hearts through blogging.
How nice from Melissa to send you some silks to try out. Those VC silks are so great to stitch with.
These rainbow colour hearts look very pretty.
Stitchers are the best, kindest people I have ever come across. Gorgeous threads. A lovely finish for your charity square.
I am so glad you like the silks, Cath. You are very welcome. Stitchers are very nice and I have been the lucky recipient of many kindnesses so it's only right that I pass that along!
Happy Stitching!
the hearts are beautiful
It's a very cute little stitchy. I would have added the extra heart - the more purple the better, I say. :)
I love the look of silks but I do tend to shred them a bit sometimes. No delicate stitcher here, I guess. Have fun with them! They really do have a great look to them.
Stitchers really are the best. I have had two lovely surprises which I must blog about soon.
Love those hearts.
Stitchers are the best :D
you will have to tell me how you get on with the silks, i have yet to try them out but i only ever hear good things about them.
the free chart is really sweet, happy stitching :)
What a cute stitch! I love your addition to make the rainbow "complete"! You'll have to let us know what you think of the silk! I've never tried any but imagine they must be delightful! Bloggers are the best folks anywhere! :)
That was super sweet of Melissa and Julie but then again, it doesn't surprise me :) Stitchers (the majority) and the most thoughtful people imho.
What a great piece to stitch and I like you added the seventh heart :)
You helped me out of a jam too Cath :) The stitching community is the best! I'd be interested to hear what you think of the silks, as I've also never stitched with them.
Best wishes.
