Precious Moments

I've just turned the house upside down several times , looking for my camera. Finally found it down the side of the settee. Sunday I turned the house upside down looking for the camera , and found it down the side of the chair. I think I need to find a decent place to leave it.
My recent small finishes for SFC are six squares , Precious Moments in Miniature (Gloria & Pat). I was meant to be in a RR to stitch these a while ago , but we couldn't get enough people so it didn't happen. Auntie Jane needed six squares to finish off the theme. Originally I said I'd do one or two , but I enjoyed doing them and they were quite quick so I ended up doing all six.

This was the first one I did . I stitched it over the holidays and it looked kind of Christmassy. My Daughter has taken a shine to this one , so I've promised to stitch one for her in a pink dress , and with a crown! These two just had to be stitched together. It did get me thinking about my own precious moments , things that make me smile and will always be remembered. It also got me all nostalgic for those times that you don't realise will be precious moments until much later. My Dad died nine years ago , and I find myself thinking of all the little things I took for granted when I was younger ,all the times he did things for me and with me , when he probably would have rather not ,but he never complained.

So , if you're feeling down , tally up your own precious moments, I think you'll find there are a lot more than you imagine.

Hopefully ,the snow is finally melting , I'm getting a bit fed up of it now.

My Son starts nursery tomorrow ,another moment in time to be remembered.

Thanks for dropping by ,

Cath
