Hats and Bootees

I really enjoyed knitting the hats , and did a few different colours, then decided I needed a change , so I moved on to bootees.
I was only going to make a couple of pairs , but they were so easy , and so cute I ended up making a pair to go with each hat.
So ,eight hats and eight pairs of bootees later , here is what I got

Just to show how tiny these things really are . These are destined for a local(ish) hospitals' special care unit , I hope they help to keep some special babies warm .

The knitting has now come to a crashing halt as I decide what to do next . I spent one day this week sewing up flat pack teddies for Jane , and (GASP) I actually did some stitching this morning , so back later with pics of that .

Thanks for dropping by ,

Cath

Gorgeous hats and bootees. I'm sure the special care babies will be thrilled with them - I know hospitals really appreciate them.

Well done Cath. My twins were premature and in a Special Care Baby Unit for some time and remember the little hats and bootees they wore, they're very much needed. My 2 had to wear mittens as well as they kept pulling their wires out ~ little rebels, they haven't changed a bit!

Gorgeous! I can't believe how quickly you churn them out. If you're looking for another charity to knit for - the Big Knit is on again. They ask for teeny tiny hats, the proceeds go to help the aged. If you google it you'll find the details and hundreds of knitting patterns
